The nature of his injury was not disclosed as they want to wait for the results of the tests. Another player, on the other hand, might soon return to HC Fribourg-Gottéron's lineup.

According to Christian Dubé, Andrei Bykov is close to a comeback. The forward has been out of the lineup since the game against EHC Biel in mid-October in which he suffered a lower-body injury.

Furthermore, as La Liberté reports, Julien Sprunger is ready to return. Sprunger suffered a knee injury at the beginning of the season and has been out ever since.
