Both Fabrice Herzog and Dario Meyer are currently kept away from the team in order to prevent the illness to spread to other players, Raffainer explained in an interview with SRF before HCD's first game at the Spengler Cup against HC Oceláři Třinec.

In addition to Herzog and Meyer various other players are missing from the lineup due to ailments, among them Finnish forward Perttu Lindgren, the Wieser brothers, Luca Hischier or Benjamin Baumgartner.
