As the Journal de Jura reported Damien Brunner suffered a twisted ankle during practice and was sidelined, as well as Marc-Antoine Pouliot who bruised his ribs during a biking accident in the summer.

Both Anton Gustafsson and Samuel Kreis were unavailable after undergoing shoulder surgeries in May. Finally, Fabian Lüthi, who underwent hip surgery last October and missed most of the season, is still not ready to play games. "We're slowly increasing his training workload, but Fabian is not yet ready to play games," Steinegger explained.

Noah Delémont, the defenseman, who played for Biel's youth teams but spent the past season in the QMJHL and is set to return Canada for next season, appeared in the preseason game. He is preparing with the National League team.
