Maxime Fortier was the victim of friendly fire, as Philip-Michaël Devos was the one to hit him with the puck. The forward broke his nose and will have to undergo further medical exams to check on his cheekbone.
The length of his absence is not yet known, but it is clear that he will not be able to play for HC Slovan Bratislava in the Spengler Cup.
