Medical Report

As Der Landbote reports, EHC Winterthur will be without their Canadian top scorer for more than a month.

Matt Wilkins was in pain after EHC Winterthur's last game against HC Thurgau. Medical analysis showed a metacarpal fracture that forces Wilkins to take a break that will last at least four to six weeks.

Considering the difficult financial situation they are in, EHC Winterthur will probably not explore the market to find a replacement, the same source reports.

In his first season with EHC Winterthur, Wilkins has scored seven goals and put up 19 assists in 29 games. On average, he is on the ice for more than 21 minutes per game. Among forwards of the Swiss League, only HC Thurgau's Jonathan Ang spends more time on the ice per game.
