Tristan Scherwey has not been playing at full strength for a long time, SC Bern explains. His problems with the ankle and the ligaments further aggravated after Sunday's game against the ZSC Lions. After further examinations, Scherwey, together with the doctors and the club, decided to undergo surgery this week.
As Scherwey should be ready for action again only in mid-March, he will surely miss the hockey tournament of the Olympic Games in Beijing.
