Medical Report

The club's leadership is confident regarding the injury of Palmberg and does not expect the Swede to be out for a longer time.

"Rickard still underwent further medical examinations on Friday night at the hospital in Visp, and no worse injuries came to light," HC Thurgau's CEO Urban Leimbacher tells the Tagblatt. According to first findings, Palmberg might be suffering from a mild concussion.

The 32-year-old Swedish forward was limping off the ice during Friday's overtime against Visp after having been boarded by Linus Klasen. Meanwhile, Klasen was provisionally suspended for one game and the league's single judge has initiated proceedings against him.

As already in Sunday's road game against Winterthur (1-4 win), HC Thurgau's coach Stephan Mair can count on SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers' winger Yannick Brüschweiler as reinforcement also for Thursday's game in Sierre (via B-license).
