In the 20th minute of Game 5 of the final series between EV Zug and the ZSC Lions, Reto Suri was hit by Marco Pedretti while trying to enter EV Zug's offensive zone. The main point of impact seemed to be the left knee. Suri did not return to the ice following the injury and Pedretti was sanctioned with a major and a game misconduct penalty.
EV Zug and the ZSC Lions will meet again on Friday for Game 6, with the Lions leading the series 3-2.
