The 31-year-old forward is expected to be out for about eight weeks.

Tristan Scherwey underwent surgery this Friday afternoon. The procedure went well. The forward required surgery after having broken his right ankle in the game against France this past Sunday.

Scherwey appeared in five games for the national team at the World Championship, recording three assists. In the regular season, he recorded nine goals and 15 assists in 35 games for SC Bern.
