A shot by his teammate Flurin Randegger hit the 38-year-old forward's face. He was thus unable to continue to play last night. As the SCL Tigers informed on Wednesday, he suffered a cheekbone fracture and several cracks in his upper jaw.

He will undergo surgery today and will be out for several weeks. In 54 games for the Tigers this season thus far, he has scored two goals and eleven assists.
