As the Nashville Predators' General Manager David Poile confirms, Kevin Fiala fractured his femur in last night's game and will be out for the remainder of the playoffs.

"During last night's game, Kevin Fiala sustained a fracture of his left femur. He underwent successful surgery and is resting comfortably," Poile states.

Last night, the 20-year-old forward crashed feet-first into the boards following a hit by the St. Louis Blues' defenseman Robert Bortuzzo. Fiala had to be stretchered off the ice and was then taken to a nearby hospital.​
