According to Le Matin, the 27-year-old already met with Geneva's medical staff on Thursday. The results and a timeline for his return are, however, not yet known. It depends on the doctors' diagnosis what kind of treatment Mayer will receive and for how long he will be sidelined.

In addition, Le Matin also reports that the Grenats have been looking at the goalie market in case Mayer will be out for a longer time. Apart from Kevin Poulin (CAN, 27) also Dustin Tokarski (CAN, 27) and Drew MacIntyre (CAN, 34) reportedly are "more or less serious" options for GSHC.
