The Swiss teams will get to travel to Denmark, Italy, Germany, Austria or Sweden for their away game in this round. Here are their opponents: The ZSC Lions (

) will square off against EHC Biel-Bienne (). The Straubing Tigers (

).
This year’s format will see no round robin, but move directly to the knockout stage. The season will start on October 6.
