The first Swiss team to step on the ice will be EV Zug, who will travel to Sweden to face Skellefteå AIK in the late afternoon. For his part, Genève-Servette HC will start at home, hosting the Straubing Tigers. On the same evening, HC Davos will play on the road in Austria against the Vienna Capitals.
The following day, HC Bolzano will host EHC Biel, while the ZSC Lions will travel to Denmark to play against Sønderjyske Vojens.
The second leg will see EVZ, GSHC, and the Lions play on October 13, while EHCB and HCD will host their opponents the following day.
