The 61-year-old took over the position in 2018. He will be succeeded by Jörgen Lindgren, who has been serving as vice-president before.

Peter Zahner was a member of the CHL Board since the beginning of the project. In 2018, he was elected president. After four years at the head, he has decided to retire from his position. In his stead, a Swede will take over. Jörgen Lindgren has been a member of the Board since 2015 and vice-president since 2018. He is the head of Hockey Europe.

Zahner, who also functions as CEO of the ZSC Lions, will still be supporting the Board until a new Swiss representative has been elected.

Other changes have also taken place on the CHL Board. Two new vice-presidents were elected yesterday, Henrik Bach Nielsen and Timo Everi. Franz Reindl retired.
