The 25-year-old winger received a five-minute major and match penalty for kneeing against Steven Strong in the 32th minute of play in today's game against Austria (3-2 OT win). Strong, for his part, was not able to continue playing and had to be taken off the ice on a stretcher.
According to IIHF Rule 110 ("Duration of Penalties/Match"), a match penalty carries with it an automatic and minimum one-game suspension. Andrighetto could thus even face additional disciplinary action for his play.
