Under the motto "Let's make history", the best 16 nations will fight for the world championship title between 8 and 24 May 2020 in the Hallenstadion in Zürich and in the brand new Lausanne Arena. After this year's IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship in Slovakia, the 16 teams that will participate in the 2020 edition will be known and the exact game schedule is expected to be announced at the end of August. It is already clear that the Swiss national team will play all its games in the Hallenstadion.

Arena packages as well as preliminary and final round packages are available as of today. From September 2019, the day tickets will be available for sale and from February 2020, single tickets will also be available, if still available.

Gian Gilli, General Secretary: "The Organising Committee has been working hard for almost a year on the preparations for this major event. The anticipation is huge and we are convinced that the IIHF World Championship in Switzerland will be an unforgettable ice hockey festival for the national and international hockey community. We are ready to write history."
