The 2021 edition of the IIHF World Championship is set to kick off soon. As René Fasel tells RTS' Marc-André Berset in an interview, there will not be any fans for the first week due to the Covid-situation in Latvia. Later on, there might be a chance to let some people attend the games, however, this heavily depends on the development of the situation.

Other than that, the IIHF feels that they are ready for the tournament. They will have a bubble concept in place to protect the players and staff involved.
