IIHF World Championship

As the SIHF announces, Patrick Geering, Fabian Heldner, and Lukas Flüeler did not make the cut and will not participate in the 2017 IIHF World Championship. Eight new players will join the team as next week.

As previously reported by Blick, SC Bern's Ramón Untersander, Leonardo Genoni, Thomas Rüfenacht, and Simon Bodenmann will suit up for the national team starting next week. Furthermore, EV Zug's Raphael Diaz, Reto Suri, and Dominik Schlumpf will also join the Swiss as of next week.

Another addition to the team will be Dean Kukan, who played with the Columbus Blue Jackets' AHL affiliate, the Cleveland Monsters, this season, scoring four goals and 29 assists in 74 games.

Switzerland's roster for the fourth week of the preparation camp for the IIHF World Championship:

Goaltenders (3): Leonardo Genoni (SC Bern), Jonas Hiller (EHC Biel), Niklas Schlegel (ZSC Lions).

Defensemen (10): Raphael Diaz (EV Zug), Philippe Furrer (HC Lugano), Joël Genazzi (Lausanne HC), Dean Kukan (Cleveland Monsters/AHL), Romain Loeffel (Genève-Servette HC), Christian Marti (ZSC Lions), Claude Paschoud (HC Davos), Dominik Schlumpf (EV Zug), Dave Sutter (EHC Biel), Ramón Untersander (SC Bern).
