Groups for the 2018 IIHF World Championship have been announced

Switzerland will be based in Copenhagen and play in Group A against Russia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Belarus, France, Austria, and the new World Champion Sweden. The games will be played in the 12,500-seat Royal Arena that opened its doors just recently.

Group B includes Canada, USA, Finland, Germany, Norway, Latvia, Denmark and newcomer South Korea. The 11,000-seat Jyske Bank Boxen in Herning is the venue for Group B.
