{Sitelinkxoff}The Lions beat HC Lugano with 3-1 and thus did not lose one single point in the ten games of the Masterround. The Lions only have one single loss on their record: they were beaten by SC Reinach, the team who now happens to be their opponent in the first round of the playoffs. The Lions’ goal difference also speaks for itself: they scored 150 goals but only received 24.

SC Reinach clinched the last playoff spot. Reinach, who was dead last in the 2016-17 season and had to play in the playouts, will face the Lions in the semifinals after the Olympic Break in March. The other semifinal series consists of HC Lugano and EV Bomo Thun.

The latter had to deal with their highest loss in eight years on Saturday: they lost their home game against the Lions with 0-18. They had to make do without their injured goalie Ines Mounir in the last period. However, at the end of the second period, they were already down 0-11.
