"We want to make the whole sports world understand that women's ice hockey wants to grow. And not just a little," Petrimpol says in an Interview with Ticinonline. "We have ambitious goals and we aim for a total reform. In order to make this happen, however, we need the help of everyone: the federation, opposing teams, media, and sponsors," she explains.
In a first step, the HC Ladies Lugano want to gain more visibility and bring more spectators to their games. Two groups of players will thus be present in a shopping mall and around the city on September 18, "to distribute free tickets for the games," as Petrimpol explains. "The ambitious goal is to reach 1,000 spectators per game."
