The last round did not change anything: The Lions “win” the regular season, followed by HC Lugano, the Neuchâtel Hockey Academy, and BOMO Thun. Thus, the quarterfinal matchups are set: ZSC Lions vs. BOMO Thun and HC Lugano vs. Neuchâtel Hockey Academy. SC Weinfelden and SC Reinach will meet in the playouts. The two dominant teams (since the 2008-09 season, the ZSC Lions and HC Lugano have both clinched four titles) are the clear favorites to win again.
The playoffs, however, will be interrupted after the first weekend. First of all, there is the final tournament of the Swiss Women’s Hockey Cup and one week later, the Olympic qualification tournament in Arosa.
