After a close 1-0 win in Game 1 of the relegation series, Switzerland defeated Germany 7-3 in Game 2. After the first period, Switzerland already led the game 3-0, thanks to goals by Alena Rossel, Alessia Bächler, and Alina Marti.
Marti, who was involved in all three goals of the first period, also scored the 4-0 only three minutes into the second and added another assist on the 5-0, scored by Jade Surdez. With two goals and three assists, Alina Marti was Switzerland's top scorer of the game.
After the 6-0 by Eva Bargo Cuns late in the second period, Germany fought back in the third, but to no avail. Thanks to another goal by Chiara Eggli, Switzerland finished this year's U18 Women's Worlds with a resounding victory.
