Diaz will have to do with all players who play overseas or in Sweden. Additionally, Christine Meier, Nicole Bullo and Evelina Raselli will not be available to the Women's national team this week due to various reasons. Furthermore, Céline Abgottspon, Stefanie Wetli, Sabrina Zollinger and Sara Benz are injured and thus also not able to participate in the tournament.
This, however, gives Diaz the opportunity to test two Swiss Canadians, Nicole Gass and Christy Blackburn. While both are not yet eligible to play in an official IIHF tournament, it gives the head coach of the Swiss national team the opportunity to have a look at their abilities.
