Swiss Women's Hockey Cup

In the upcoming season, 33 teams will participate in the Swiss Women's Hockey Cup - five more than last year: six teams in the SWHL A, eight in the SWHL B, and 19 in the SWHL C. The winner of the Cup will be determined at a tournament in Biasca on January 27/28.

Not only the SWHL has a new record regarding the number of teams participating next season but also the Cup. As per usual, the four finalists will be determined in four rounds. They will take place in September, October, November, and December.

In September, the SWHL C teams will battle each other for a spot in the final; the SWHL B teams will join them in October and the SWHL A teams in November. Lugano, as the title defending champion, has to win only one round to be able to participate in the final tournament. Five SWHL C teams will have the chance to reach the third round of the tournament by winning twice, against other SWHL C teams.

First Round:

Wisle vs Prilly, St. Gallen vs Tramelan, Sierre vs Luzern Dragon, Rot Blau Bern vs Schaffhausen, Dragon Queens vs Lenzerheide, Ajoie vs Meyrin, Wallisellen vs Lady Lakers Rapperswil, La Chaux-de-Fonds vs St-Imier, Ambrì-Piotta vs Genève Servette.
