IIHF World Junior Championship

In mid-December, the Swiss U20-national team will have a training camp in Niagara (USA) in order to prepare for the upcoming 2018 IIHF World Juniors in Buffalo. Nico Hischier will not be present at all.

Today, U20-head coach Christian Wohlwend announced the roster for the preparation camp. At the same time, as expected, the SIHF confirmed that 2017 NHL first round pick Nico Hischier, 18, has not been released by the New Jersey Devils to join his Swiss teammates for the World Juniors.

As part of the preparation camp in Niagara, Switzerland will play three test games against Denmark (Dec 17), Finland (Dec 20) and Canada (Dec 22) in Hamilton, which will all be broadcasted live on MySports.
