In the final roster cut before the start of the World Juniors, head coach Marco Bayer has taken a decision on which three players to send home.

Not part of the roster of the Swiss U20 national team for the World Juniors will be defenseman Brian Zanetti (Peterborough Petes) and the forwards Jérémie Bärtschi (EHC Biel) and Mika Burkhalter (SC Bern).

"This decision was not easy for us," Marco Bayer comments. "All three players have showed full commitment from the first day of the preparation camp and fought for their place in the team. They were an important part of this journey and we thank them for their great commitment."

This U20 national team is going to open the tournament in Edmonton on Friday, December 25 at 20:00 (CET) against Slovakia with the following 25-men roster:
