Stéphane Heughebaert and HC Franches-Montagnes will discuss in October whether his contract will be extended until the end of the season.
Heughebaert played for EHC Olten and Hockey Huttwil last season. In August, he received a tryout opportunity from HC La Chaux-de-Fonds but was not able to turn it into a contract for the upcoming season.
