Zanzi suited up in 24 Swiss League games for the Lakers last season (one goal). In addition, the 20-year-old winger played six games on loan for EC Wil in the first league (three goals, one assist).
Approached by hockeyfans.ch later today, however, the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers have denied this news. "Zanzi will also hit the ice with EC Wil for the game on Saturday this week. But, there's currently no need to loan out the player," the Lakers' sports coordinator Roger Maier clarified.
These rumors about Zanzi's possible move to EHC Chur seem to have emerged after he scratched the ice for them in their pre-season game on Friday last week.
