In view of the qualification tournament for Bejing 2022, head coach Roger Bader has called up seven players from the Swiss leagues.

Ambrì's Dominic Zwerger will participate in Austria's camp.

In addition to former ZSC Lions forward Marco Rossi, who is now part of the NHL's Minnesota Wild, seven players from the National and Swiss League will join the Austrian national team for their one-week training camp starting on August 16.

In the offensive department, Raphael Herburger (HC Lugano), Benjamin Baumgartner (Lausanne HC), Dominic Zwerger (HC Ambrì-Piotta), Patrick Obrist (EHC Kloten) and Patrick Spannring (HC Thurgau) join the team. In defense, head coach Roger Bader has called up Bernd Wolf (HC Lugano) and Stefan Ulmer (HC La Chaux-de-Fonds).

According to the Kleine Zeitung, Bader will announce the final roster for the Olympic qualification tournament after their camp on August 22. In Bratislava, Austria will then face Slovakia, Belarus, and Poland.
