With their victories over Korea (2-0) and Japan, the tournament ends on a good note for the Swiss women, who were pretty disappointed after their quarterfinal loss to Russia. While they won five out of six games, and, with that, did better than in Sochi, they did not manage to secure the victory in the most important game - the one against the Olympic Athletes of Russia.

The Swiss players proved throughout the tournament that they could keep up with the best European teams. The young team still has room for improvement for the tasks ahead like the World Championship. Until then, Daniela Diaz has enough time to add some new talent to the team since it is likely that the Olympics was the last international tournament for several players. It is expected that some will no longer play for the national team.
