In the first period of the game between the GCK Lions and HC Sierre, the guests' Loic Vouardoux delivered a hit to the head of Ryan Hayes. He was issued a five-minute major penalty and ejected from the game for the incident. The league has now initiated proceedings against the defenseman and provisionally suspended him for Sierre's next game.
