Proceedings have been initiated against Alain Bircher for interfering with EHC Biel's Ramon Tanner. As the Bieler Tagblatt reported this morning, Tanner was not able to finish the game after the incident and had to be helped off the ice.
Bircher received a minor penalty for interference during the game. The defenseman has appeared in four games for the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers this season but has yet to put his name on the scoresheet.
