Two game misconducts automatically lead to a suspension. After getting his second of the season last night, Lausanne HC's Floran Douay has thus been suspended for one game. The forward also has to pay a fine of CHF 2,500.-.
Douay is unlikely to face supplementary discipline for his actions. As Laura Cueni gathered in her research of the matter for NL Ice Data's Disciplinary page, this decision in tariff proceedings should mean the end of the case. An initiation of ordinary procedure would have had to come prior to issuing of the suspension.
