Provisionally suspended for tonight's game, the forward might hit the ice nonetheless – in case Winterthur's appeal will be approved.

Anthony Staiger has been provisionally suspended for tonight's game against SC Langenthal due to a boarding against HC La Chaux-de-Fonds' Axel Andersson, who was seriously injured during the incident.

According to Der Landbote, EHC Winterthur has filed an appeal against the verdict. The club is convinced that Staiger did not act in a way that endangered Andersson's health. To support this view, they have handed in two more videos of the incident.
