NLA - Without a team since the EHC Basel Sharks declared bankruptcy earlier this summer, Cyrille Scherwey has now gotten a chance to find himself a new home.

As the Basellandschaftliche Zeitung reports, the forward has received a try-out opportunity for two weeks with HC Ambrì-Piotta in the National League A.

Additionally, ex-Sharks Rolf Portmann and Stefan Flückiger are keeping themselves in shape with EHC Burgdorf (first league) in the hope of finding another employer in the NLB.

Others left without a contract decided to take a new career path: Pascal Wittwer (EHC Aarau), Marvin Frunz (EHC Basel/KLH?) and Nando Wüthrich are all going to be part of a first league team next season.
