NLA - As Patrick Andrey (Yes FM) reports on Twitter, GSHC's appeal to the single judge's six-game suspension for Jeremy Wick has been successful. The SIHF tribunal has reduced the suspension to two games.

Wick was fined and suspended for six games by single judge Reto Steinmann after he had delivered a hit to the head of Lausanne HC's Daniel Bång in the game on January 22.

Wick will be sitting out the second game of his suspension tonight when his team plays HC Ambrì-Piotta in the Leventina.(lcu)

UPDATE The SIHF tribunal justifies their decision with the quality of the video footage. It is not clearly visible whether or not Wick made contact with the head of his opponent. - 30 January 2015, 2:33 PM
