The 30-year-old defenseman played 549 games for the ZSC Lions and has been with their organisation for his entire career. He won the NLA title three times with the Lions (07-08; 11-12; 13-14).

Furthermore, the club also bids its farewell to Jonas Siegenthaler (Washington Capitals), Denis Malgin (Florida Panthers), Jan Neuenschwander (EHC Biel), Auston Matthews, David Rundblad (Chicago Blackhawks), Urban Leimbacher and Thomas Bäumle. As for Marc-André Bergeron, Dan Fritsche and Ryan Keller, whose contracts have expired, their future is yet to be determined. (mso)
