SC Langenthal's goalie Marc Eichmann officially announced today that he will be retiring at the end of the season while netminder Marco Mathis has signed a new two-year deal with SCL.

Eichmann played his first game for SC Langenthal during the 2004-05 on loan form SC Bern before permanently moving to Langenthal in 2006. Tomorrow, the 35-year-old will appear in his 450th game for the club. Eichmann remains within the organisation beyond this season and will continue to work in the office of SCL.

Furthermore, Langenthal informs, that forward Stefan Tschannen (concussion) will not be returning to play before the national team break and that Joël Fröhlicher is expected to be out for four weeks with a broken rib. (lcu)
