HC Ajoie's forward Steven Barras will hang up his skates at the end of this season, as his club announces on their website. Barras is currently in his 17th season with the Ajoulots.

For his youth team, the 32-year-old has played a total of 756 NLB-games. During the 2010-11 season, he joined EHC Biel for the relegation and played 10 NLA games for them, scoring five points.

Over the course of his career, Barras has scored more goals for Ajoie than any other player and surpassed Christophe Berdat's record of 327 goals a couple of weeks ago. His decision to hang up his skates was driven by new professional opportunities. (bsc)
