As the St. Galler Tagblatt already reported on Monday, the 24-year-old defenseman Fabian Maier will leave his youth team and join the SCRJ Lakers. He will stay with the Rosenstädter until the end of the 2017-18 season.

Maier made his NLB debut for the Lions in the 2010-11 season. This past term, he appeared in 49 games for Hockey Thurgau, scoring two goals and nine assists for a total of eleven points.

Moreover, Canadian forward Jared Aulin will stay in Rapperswil for one more season at least. The 33-year-old joined Rapperswil this past summer and has signed a one-year extension with the option for an additional season. This term thus far, he has registered 52 points (13 goals, 39 assists) in as many games for the Lakers. (bsc)
