Medical Report

Bad news for SC Langenthal. As the club announces, they will have to cope without their defenseman Marco Schüpbach at least until January, 2017.

Schüpbach had to undergo surgery today after he sustained a severe knee injury. The 37-year-old will not only leave a void within SCL's first team, but also in the youth sector, where he acts as head of the acquisition stage. Team manager Noël Guyaz will therefore evaluate several options in order to close these gaps.

Moreover, as the club informs, Luca Christen will be sidelined as well. The 18-year-old defenseman is suffering from a broke maxillary sinus wall and is expected to be out for several weeks. Christen has been practicing in the extended roster of SCL's first team in the past few weeks. (rlu)
