SUI - After 213 international games, 3 Olympics, 12 World Championships and a Silver Medal, HC Lugano's defender Julien Vauclair has decided to retire from international ice hockey to fully focus on his performance with HC Lugano.

"It was not an easy decision, but fact is that with advancing age, regeneration time always takes longer," Vauclaur states. "I had a lot of fun with the national team and have always worn the national jersey with pride. I will always remember the countless good times with the team."

In a total of 213 international games, the 35-year-old was able to record eleven goals and 30 assists for 41 points. (rlu)
