Glen Hanlon, coach of the Swiss national team, received a check worth more than CHF 2.3 million from Roger Hegi, director of the Sport-Toto-Gesellschaft STG (in the middle of the photo). The money will flow directly into the Swiss youth movement. "An important prerequisite to be able to count on strong youth players in the future," as the SIHF writes in a press release.

The main tasks of the STG are to raise funds from Swisslos and the Loterie Romande in order to support and co-finance the national sport. Those funds go to Swiss Olympic and certain national sports federations such as the Swiss Ice Hockey Federation.
