The 33-year-old forward is an NHL-veteran and was drafted by the Nashville Predators in the second round of the 1999 NHL Entry Draft. He went on to play 718 games in the NHL, scoring 166 points (76 goals, 90 assists) for the Nashville Predators, the New York Rangers, the Minnesota Wild, the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Carolina Hurricanes, and the Philadelphia Flyers.

Last season, he was able to score ten points (four goals, six assists) in 87 games with the Flyers. His contract expired this summer and he became an unrestricted free agent. Now he could have found his new home in HC Ambrì-Piotta.
