Bastl, whose contract is going to expire in April 2015, has joined the ZSC Lions from HC Fribourg-Gottéron in 2007.
Since then, the 34-year-old Swiss-American forward has appeared in a total of 400 NLA games (173 points) in the colors of blue, white and red, was able to win the Swiss Championship in 2008, 2012 and 2014 as well as the European Champions Hockey League and Victoria Cup in 2009.
This season so far, Bastl has scored ten points (5 goals, 5 assists) in 23 games.
