Following the acquisition of Jerry Turkulainen for the next two seasons, HC Ajoie seems to be looking at the Liiga also for their next import. If the signing of Ilves' Oula Palve were to be confirmed, HC Ajoie would have the two top scorers of the 2023-24 Liiga's regular season on their roster.
However, as the Finnish newspaper reports, Turkulainen has a clause in his contract to renounce the move to Porrentruy if HC Ajoie is relegated to the Swiss League at the end of the current season. The same might apply to Oula Palve.
This season, Palve scored 20 goals and collected 44 assists in 64 games with Ilves Tampere, leading the Liiga in points with one more point than Jerry Turkulainen. Palve returned to Finland last summer after three years in Sweden and one season in the AHL.
