According to Expressen (relayed by HockeyNews.se), Fredrik Olofsson and EV Zug are in advanced negotiations. If he, however, were to receive an offer for a one-way contract in the NHL, he would stay in North America.
The Swede played junior and university hockey in North America, but then joined MoDo in the 2019-20 season. After three seasons in Sweden, he returned to North America, suiting up for the Dallas Stars. This season, he has recorded three goals and six assists in 57 regular-season games for the Avs.
