National League

Maxim Lapierre had been released from his professional tryout contract with the New York Rangers on Tuesday. Now, he has received several offers from European teams, as he tells Le Matin.

"I loved my experience in Switzerland," says the Canadian. "I have three offers from in your country. Out of respect for these clubs, I will not reveal their names though." However, the NLA is not the only league showing interest in him. He also has three offers to consider from the Kontinental Hockey League.

Lapierre wants to decide by Friday, where he will play for the rest of the season. It thus remains to be seen if he will return to Switzerland. Maxim Lapierre has appeared in 21 games for HC Lugano in the past season, scoring three goals and five assists.
